1. Name: Yao Ming Fan Club (YMFC).
2. Founding Principles: Non-profit, non-political, open to all, with equal rights, regardless of ethnic origins, registered as a community organization and is being endorsed personally by Yao Ming.
3. Founding Objectives: To foster the Olympic spirit and to advance Yao Ming superstar status for worldwide support.
4. Membership: Any individual or organization abiding by YMFC bylaws is eligible.
5. Membership Fees: Upon paying a voluntary fee, any member is eligible for YMFC publications, souvenirs, group discounts and related benefits.
6. Management: Consisting of a 15 to17-member YMFC Executive Board, elected biannually, without term-limits, for day-to-day business and affairs.
7. Advisory Board: Any prominent government officials, industrial executives, legal authorities, community leaders, and/or entertainment personalities deemed beneficial for the advancement of YMFC shall be eligible.
8. Sponsorship and Appreciation Format: YMFC accepts only unconditional sponsorship for any of its activities persistent with YMFC Founding Principles and Objectives. Appreciation and acknowledgement shall be impartial, open and legal.
9. Legal Liabilities: YMFC shall only be responsible for any Board sponsored activities. YMFC shall not be responsible for any legal liabilities arising from out-crying remarks or statements and raucous behavior by individuals participating in group functions bearing YMFC.
